Calling Hemingway and Rum Aficionados! Event at Keys History & Discovery Center Includes Rum Drinks

Islamorada, FL – Keys History & Discovery Center Presents… Cocktails in the Stream: Life & Times of Hemingway in Key West and Cuba on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Keys History & Discovery Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., presentation begins at 6 p.m.
Known the world over for his fierce embrace of all life had to offer, Ernest Hemingway made sure his friends’ glasses were never empty and their thirst for stories never unsatisfied. Join Philip Greene, author and founding member of the Museum of the American Cocktail, as he shares the legendary camaraderie and spirit of adventure of Hemingway. Imbibe in an evening of celebration with friends, enjoying three of Hemingway’s favorite rum cocktails and Keys-Cuban cuisine popular in 1930s-50s.
Evening begins at 5:30 p.m., with a welcome cocktail and appetizers. Presentation is at 6 p.m., and includes two additional cocktails and appetizers. A cash bar also will be available. The Discovery Center is in Islamorada, MM 82, located at the Islander Resort. The Center is open Thursdays through Sundays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. General admission is $12.
