Office Assistant, Full-Time
The Florida Keys History & Discovery Center is looking for a full-time person to answer phones, greet members and guests at the museum, and sell items in our gift store. Must have retail and cash register experience; proficient on Microsoft Office products and keep a clean workspace. Indoor position with air-conditioning. Our open hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10-5 pm. Summer ’22 Graduate Intensive Internship
The Florida Keys History & Discovery Foundation, Inc. (FKHDF) is proud to offer a Collection Digitization Intensive for Summer 2022. The FKHDF is seeking summer interns to help increase the accessibility of Museum and Library collections through digitization. This is a great opportunity for graduate students or recent MA graduates to gain hands-on technical experience and help improve collection accessibility.
Each internship session will last for four weeks this summer, June 12-July 8 (off 7/4), and July 11-August 5, 2022. Applicants are welcome to apply to more than one session. Please be aware that this internship is full-time, five days per week, 9 am to 5 pm (unless otherwise arranged with the supervisor). Benefits include housing (private room and bath, common living space) and a stipend (a minimum of $1,000 each). Transportation to and from the museum will be provided each day. College/High School Internships
We have ongoing internship opportunities available for students who live in the Florida Keys. The position(s) are on-site and paid. Minimum qualifications is proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Preference is to those interested in history, or with experience in graphic design, video production, social media, and/or communications.
