Keys History & Discovery Center Presents…A Grab Bag of Old Florida Stories, a lecture on Wednesday, March 27, 5-7 p.m. The lecture is at the Keys History & Discovery Center at MM 82 on the property of the Islander Resort in Islamorada. Cost for non-members is only $10, thanks in part to grant funding from Florida Humanities Council. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
Come spend an evening with Professor and Performance Storyteller Caren S. Neile as she regals you with stories of the pirate Black Caesar and Robert the Doll! Live the legends of the Florida Keys and other parts of this extraordinary state including the Barefoot Mailman, Addison Mizner and the Ashley gang. The presentation will include the greatest technology available – good old-fashioned storytelling and the human brain. Plus: You’ll have a chance to share your own Florida stories and to pick up a signed copy of Florida Lore.
