Movie Night at the Museum at Keys History & Discovery Center

Hosted by Keys History & Discovery Center, MM 82, doors open at 5 p.m., movie begins at 6 p.m. Movie fare served with a cash bar. Beer provided by Florida Keys Brewing Company.

Movie Night at the Museum is part of the series of FACE events. FACE is an acronym for Food, Art, Culture and Entertainment. FACE of Islamorada is a collaborative effort between numerous Islamorada not-for-profits and small businesses to promote cultural events held in the Village each year in the month of January. Some of the events are established and longstanding events, some are new and “cutting edge.” The goal of FACE is to create a month-long exposition of continuous cultural opportunities, entertainment and other events that will make Islamorada the ultimate cultural destination every January, every year.

Keys History & Discovery Center features a 35-seat state-of-the-art theater, as well as exhibits on topics as vast as First People of the Keys, Spanish Treasure Fleets, Pirate/Wreckers/Salvagers, and Legends of the Line, as well as Florida Bay Forever: A Photographic Exhibit.

Keys History & Discovery Center’s general admission is $12. Admission for seniors is $10 and children 13-under are free. The Center is in Islamorada, MM 82, located at the Islander Resort. Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation, which operates Keys History & Discovery Center, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3). All donations are tax-deductible.
